3 · Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When the website is accessed, Netlify automatically processes data transmitted by your browser and stores it in server log files:
- IP address
- Date and time of access
- Page or file accessed
- Referrer, that is the page from which the access originates
- Browser type, browser version and operating system
These data are technically required to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability. They are not combined with other data sources and are not evaluated for analytics or advertising. The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place with Netlify. Data may be transferred to the United States in the process. Netlify is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Article 45 GDPR). In addition, Netlify uses the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
4 · Cookies and local storage
This website does not set any cookies. It does not use analytics, tracking or advertising services and does not load any content from third-party servers; the fonts are also hosted on our own server.
When you close the notice at the bottom of the screen by clicking „Got it“, a single entry is placed in your browser’s local storage (sc-cookie with the value 1). Its only purpose is to stop the notice from appearing again on your next visit. It contains no personal data and is not transmitted to us. This storage is strictly necessary within the meaning of Section 25 (2) no. 2 of the German TDDDG. You can delete the entry at any time in your browser settings.
5 · Contact form and e-mail
If you write to us using the contact form, we process the information you enter: first name, last name, e-mail address, company, the selected topic and your message, together with the language version of the page from which the enquiry was sent. These data are used solely to handle your enquiry.
The form is processed by the Netlify Forms service. The enquiry is stored in our Netlify account and delivered to us by e-mail. Before delivery, Netlify checks every enquiry for spam using the Akismet service of Automattic Inc., San Francisco, USA. For this purpose the form data are transmitted to Akismet.
Our e-mail mailboxes are operated by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. This also applies if you write to us directly by e-mail.
The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or steps prior to entering into one, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries under Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
6 · Links to other websites
The website contains links to other services, including our LinkedIn profile and the websites of our partners. These are plain links, not embedded content or plugins, so no data are transmitted to these providers when you visit our pages. Only when you click a link do you leave our website; the operator of the target site is then responsible for any processing there.
7 · Rights of the data subject
Under the GDPR you have in particular the following rights:
- The right of access to the stored data (Article 15)
- The right to rectification of inaccurate data (Article 16)
- The right to erasure (Article 17)
- The right to restriction of processing (Article 18)
- The right to data portability (Article 20)
- The right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21)
- The right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Article 7 (3))
An informal message to the controller is sufficient to exercise these rights.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.
8 · Legal bases for processing
The legal basis for each processing operation is stated above. In general, processing is based on Article 6 (1) GDPR, in particular point (b) (contract and pre-contractual steps), point (c) (legal obligation) and point (f) (legitimate interests).
9 · Legitimate interests
Where processing is based on Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable operation of the website, in defending against attacks and spam, and in answering enquiries.
10 · Storage period and erasure
Personal data are stored only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. We delete enquiries received via the contact form or by e-mail once they have been dealt with conclusively, unless statutory retention periods, for example under commercial or tax law, require longer storage. In that case processing is restricted until the period expires.
11 · Provision of data
You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide us with personal data. Without the mandatory fields in the contact form, however, we cannot handle your enquiry.
12 · Automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
